Program module Database - tool to create simple and compact custom user databases.

Main properties and features.

Program module is intended to provide the user with the possibility to create custom databases to store and systematize the data of various types.
Format of the custom databases was developed by SkyWander Soft, no other additional third-party dynamic library is required to be installed.
User data is stored in three separate files: file containing current database settings (*.swb), file containing created reports (*.rpt) and file containing data of the file type (*.swr).
Using file type as one of the fields in field designer allows storing in custom database data of various types, such as Word documents, photos, captured frames, video fragments, musical compositions etc.
No special knowledge is required from the user to create new database or to work with different types of data.
Viewing and editing of the data is done using the table view. Inserting of the data into the table is done by simple drag-and-drop operation of the data object from File manager or from multimedia module onto the table field
Objects stored in the database can be edited directly by calling external application registered in the system with this file type (double-click object, or use context menu). All changes made to the object are automatically saved into the database.
Creating of the spreadsheets using calculated fields and predefined functions.
To effectively present data in printout form user has special tool – report designer, capable of creating reports using visual design mode.
Local network multi-user database access, defining and setting user rights, protection against unauthorized access to the data.
Support for the drag-and-drop operations for the fields of the file type.
